Post by Robdavies »

Hello, I recently bought this badge, its a nice simple design which goes well with my black paintwork, does anyone know anything about it ?
I did the usual Google search but it didn't turn anything up.

I can't help you I'm afraid, but I just want to say that I rather like it - it should go really well with your black paintwork!
Best wishes, Dave B

Very nice interesting and rare badge.

I wonder why they made it a badge bar badge ? It was clearly made many years ago when motorists knew a car by its distinctive radiator shape.

Perhaps a commercial vehicle badge as suggested or maybe for something that used a Daimler engine.

Hiya Stan,
Well maybe I've got you all wrong, but I have the feeling your none too keen on badges
Can't say I am usually except when the umpteenth person comes up to your beautiful, unmistakable, fluted grilled, pre war Daimler and says "Nice ride mate, wot iz it" ?
Or, " my granddad had one of those, he never drove anything else but Ford,"
Normally at an inconvenient moment, a simple name badge begins to feel like a small object of desire.
I promise, no" hoot if your horny," or " don't follow me, I'm lost too " badges...
Yours discreetly, Rob.

Ahh, light dawns on marble head !
Now I'll have to find and watch the whole film, the video player in the workshop is a handy thing.
The collective wisdom on this sight is humbling.
