This video shows the assembly of a Weber carburettor (Italian). It's an extremely well-produced video but I'm not sure if it would suit any of our cars but possibly an SP250. Skip the ad at the beginning.

The engine sound at the end sounds like a Ferrari.

How long would it take you guys to take it apart, clean it and reassemble it? The carburettor construction is extremely complicated. It's a lot more complicated than an SU.

The 28/36 is ( putting it rather cruelly) the cheapest and nastiest of the Weber range, and whilst it might be alright for a Cortina GT or similar, I cannot conceive of its being suitable on a Daimler. You would need at least 2, and more probably 4, and the manifolding would be horrific. There are Webers such as the IDA ( which is a downdraught DCO in essence ) which would just about work on the Daimler, but the real snag with those is that they are essentially full throttle carburetters, and getting chokes and the emulsion tubes right so as to provide proper tractability on a road car would be a nightmare
