Just out of interest, the science museum have a 1933 Daimler 20 sleeve valve in their collection

Maybe it has spare sleeves tucked away in it’s tool box!,

Re: Sleeve valve engine sleeves.
I've spoken to Agra Engineering, and we've had a brief conversation. Pity they are so far away.
I'll contact the Science Museum as you advise.
I've been in touch with Birmingham Museum, as they have an unidentified Daimler in store - but can't get past the "jobsworths" who answers the 'phone. That's pretty gauling considering I spent eons of time some years ago assembling one of their exhibits for free - hence my saying "If you do something for nothing, that is the value of the respect you earn".
Incidentally, there is also a 16/20 in the Coventry Museum "overflow" of un-displayed exhibits stored in a building on one of the original Daimler Factory sites - and believe me, its a veritable Alladin's Cave! So much so that I've even thought of approaching them to see if I could arrange a private Club visit.

Re: Sleeve valve engine sleeves.
I don't own a sleeve valve car, but in the future it might be on my list of inrerest such a car.
So I ask from now: did any one found any person or company that can manufacture this kind of valves?

Valves (electronic tubes) are for audio what preselector gearboxes are for cars.

Re: Sleeve valve engine sleeves.
In a word - yes it would be possible to get new sleeves made.
Early type sleeves before about 1928 were cast iron, and can be made relatively easy - but at a cost!
Later sleeves were steel as they were lighter - but had to be white-metalled to form a bearing surface - but which ultimately proved to have a propensity for the white metal to errode around the exhaust ports. However, steel sleeves can be made (but at an even higher cost!!)
I have a contact who could write the CNC programme and have approached a manufacturer regarding supply of the tubing required to ground finish. I've also discussed the ramifications of Nikasil plating in lieu of white-metalling, which would give a far superior finish than original.

But does it costs more then 200 Sterling Pounds per valve?

Re: Sleeve valve engine sleeves.
I've not exactly gone into pricing - which in any case would be down to individual requirement, bearing in mind its not just manufacturing cost, but how desperate you are which would hike up the price.
That said, whatever you required would be "one offs", so I'm afraid the cost would be far higher that a few hundred pounds each!!
