Footman James offer a discount on my classic insurance because I am a member of the Jaguar Enthusiast Club. Can anybody tell me if it is the same with the DLOC?

Most classic car insurance companies do look favourably if the owner belongs to a recognised classic car club.

Probably being cynical, it may be viewed as an indirect way of promoting that company when someone says "I got a great deal via blah blah, you should give them a try", I am sure we have all heard that !!

If you are a member of DLOC then the DM magazine lists a couple of companies, namely FJ and PBIS - the latter declaring that they are indeed an approved DLOC insurance provider.

I have just renewed my insurance for the Daimler and another classic; being a club member of both marques was taken in to consideration and helped lower the premium.

Car insurance is a real "horses for courses" and phoning around really is the only way of ensuring the best outcome - forget the online applications, as a classic car owner you really do need to speak direct to companies.

In answer to the original question, the answer is yes.
The same is true for all those who advertise in the DM.
David Manners also offer a discount to members on parts.
