Help from plastics experts please.

Post by Route 66drivers.com »

Help, industrial chemists and plastics experts please. Cracking problems. On my first trial of making my own lights, I used roof resin and made it hot cos I was impatient to see how it would turn out. Well, the plastic cracked in lots of places. So, for the second trial, I used water clear resin, and a very cool mix, taking about a day to harden up. Now, I have no cracks at all where I bent the tube and the resin is, but cracks where there was no heat from bending and no contact with the resin either. Whats happening ??
