Flywheel Festival Bicester, 2-3 July 2016

Post by marchesmark »

I imagine this will appeal to many of us, and I am certainly thinking of attending myself. I've noticed that if we register as a club we get cheaper tickets (50%, but there is a service charge). So, what do we think? Would it be good to have a club section at the event, with a dedicated club parking area? I think it might be fun. I guess as a registrar I can claim to be a representative of the club, so would be happy to register the club if there is any interest.

I agree it looks like an interesting event with plenty of variety and all transport based.

Sorry Mark,
I've been off-internet for a week or so and only saw your post today.

Our local branch of the TR register went last year and raved about it- they've organised another trip this year, and think it's a brilliant event.
I had actually suggested to Glyn Overy that it might make an excellent venue for SP Day, but his plans for this year were already in place.

It seems a very central location with good access links and a great show - like you, I'm not sure why folks aren't interested.

Might it be worth registering the Club in case we can get more support?

Cheers,
John

Andy, John, Henry,

Thanks for the replies, I think it probably isn't going to work as a club event. I have to admit there's so much going on every weekend in the summer now, so perhaps everyone is doing something else. I may go and will report back if I do.

Mark
