Head Gasket Identification Required

Post by JT7196 »

Hi Chaps, recently bought a spare Cylinder Head for my Lanchester, including a couple of NOS Cylinder Head Gaskets, one of which is not suitable for my car, am I correct in thinking that the Gasket shown below would be for an LD10 by any chance?

Hello Al, not LD10 but LA 10, i.e. 1203cc . The LD10 gaskets have two little "wings" on the pushrod side that give them away. The LA10 early gasket is Payen number 1379. Interesting that the ones Daimler bought must have been made by Coopers - great the things you learn!

Is the LA10 cylinder head gasket still for sale? I am looking for a new one.
Thanks
