Piping now fitted and have been round with a smidge here and there of fibreglass (especially for the "biofuel hole ) where required.
Boot lid and roof have had a "first fix" of filler in the dents, but I ran out and am awaiting a fresh tin to finish.
Some black primer has been slopped about here an there to check for smoothness and I have found the boot lid will need a little further attention.

Looking good Neil. Is that some sort of ramp the car is on?

No, Andy, the garage floor is some 5 inches above ground level (we get the occasional flood....................)
The wooden ramps are to get the car "in"!!!!

Re: Conquest Progress
Well, a bit of progress this week so far..................
Been attacking the dents in the roof and boot - they will both need another skim to finish. Sides have "first fix" filler and I am pleased to say the front end is now sanded and in primer!!!
Can't get mucky tomorrow as it's Norman's memorial service, so back in to attack on Saturday. Weather forecast is fine so will be able to do it outside to save half a ton of dust in the garage............................

After what seemed like gallons of celly stopper and primer, it's all ready now to be flatted off.

Re: Conquest Progress
OK, so all the flatting down is finished, apart from a "walk round" to see the bits I missed.............................
Today I re - wired the foglamps. Although the car is a Mk2, with Smiths heater, the previous owner has fitted Mk1 fogs in the wings. I must admit they look better than the bumper mounted variety, but of course I can't connect the air trunking. (if I had any that is!!)
Having said that, even with NO trunking, the heater is VERY warm.
Wednesday here looks a nice warm and wind free day, so might brave it and put a mist coat on the bottom half. Failing that, the washers need fitting and the reserve tap still needs connecting.
Currently the clock is on test after a good clean. I'll leave it a few days to see if it wants the F/S adjusting and then that can go back in the dash.
