Daimler 1925 IT 655

Post by John-B »

Message from David Burrows

"Dear Daimler and Lanchester owners' club,

My family is trying to locate a 1925 Daimler IT 655 which my grandfather owned in the 1920s and my father restored in the 1960s.We know it exists as I have found it on the motorcheck.ie website. We also believe it was bought in England some years ago. If you know of its whereabouts and could put us in touch with the current owner with his or her permission, we would be most grateful.

Yours sincerely,

David Burrowes"

If anyone knows where it is or can contact the owner, post in this topic or email me and I'll forward the reply. John-B

David doesn't say what type of Daimler it was. In 1925 they seem to have been large limousines, straight fours 3308cc 1922 or straight sixes between 1542cc and 9420cc (what a huge variation in engine size!) or Landaulettes.

On that website it comes up as a 2000cc saloon.

David Burrowes has emailed me that "Further research shows it's in Ireland. The motorcheck.ie <http://motorcheck.ie> website where I found it is for all UK and Ireland cars, but there is no record of it on the dvla website. Nevertheless, someone in the UK might know of it's location."
