Leonard Jones told me of this advt. The car was not known to the Register but Christian Demler was able to give me the chassis number from his records 90483

I’m curious as to how it could end up with that registration - a “J” year suffix?

This is Roadster 90483, despatched from the works in July 1955. It was obviously re-registered in UK 1972 hence the 'J' Registration. The vendor tells me it once belonged to a club member and there is a lot of interest in the car in Germany. Will find out what history he has with the car

J would be 70 -71. 72 would be K. Sorry for the anorkonism ;)

This car has now found a good home in Germany - information from Christian Demler.

"I’m curious as to how it could end up with that registration - a “J” year suffix?" Simple answer :- exported out of UK ( or initially sold as RHD export) at some point.. then re -imported to UK between aug '70 and aug '71.. back then they issued 'current year' plates..
