This looks interesting, although not sure the 350 cubic inch (145 to 370bhp depending on spec) is sensible!!
The stated year must be wrong. I am no expert on this model but surely it dates from the mid fifties? DJ 253?
I would also think it must be quite rare now, as looking at the internet production figures, production numbers of around 50 are quoted.

It's a DJ253 alright.
The first ones were 1954 and they made the last in 56 I think.
Around 250 built and I would think there's probably around 50 left.
Three were at Redhill this past June.
Cheap as it looks OK.

strange starting point for a hot rod! I wonder whether he has upgraded the running gear? Could be rather frightening around a corner...
Almost worth buying for novelty value alone.

That's a Chrysler Hemi 350 (5.7 Ltr) in there and no doubt with s 3 speed auto box. At least the brakes on the rear will be upgraded with the 9" Ford rear axle but front stopping power would also need serious upgrade?
300HP is about standard and goes up to unbelievable numbers from there. My son runs a 1969 drag car which turns out around 1,400HP and it's not uncommon for Hot Rods to be around the 800HP level.
So yes, some serious updates would be required!
