It would seem that the owner is only available for viewings after 6pm. It makes an inspection rather difficult at this time of the year unless one owns a good torch. Why list something when it's so difficult for the prospective buyers to view the item?

Hi,
It could have started life as a DE27?
The front wings do have spare wheel wells and covers which was more common for the DE36 I think.
I guess the rolling chassis could have received the DE 27 coach built body?
There is a very fine F & W DE27 here, as well as one needing restoration but mechanically good in Victoria.
Cheers

Made £2551-00 and bought by the person who started the bidding which makes a change, let us hope it has gone to a GOOD HOME.

Chassis 51205 was originally a DE36 hearse. That body is now lost and it received a DE27 body #1375 F&W. #1375 F&W was originally on chassis 51328 which is now a special. Now for the register: who is the new owner (the previous owner had it for sale for some time for GPB 2.5-3k)?

If this car was a hearse, as the seller admitted, then he wouldn't be able to claim that this car is one of six made with the F & W body. Essentially he, or someone else, has created a seventh. Hopefully the car as it is now will have benefitted from the presence of the longer front wings, bonnet and engine bay side panels.
