"Exceptional and rare Daimler DR450 (DR 450) from the Jaguar group.
Denomination: Daimler Majestic Major Limousine 8 seater from 1963.
Luxury model that competed with Rolls Royce and Bentley in his day.

Extremely rare collection vehicle produced only 864 copies from 1961 to 1968.
This one was imported from GB in 1988 (flying right then, same owner since almost 30 years)
French gray card in good standing.
V8 engine, 4.5l. 278cu. Propulsion.
Transmission Borg Warner DG12 automatic.
Power 220 horses.

The Daimler is stored in a garage in the basement since 2002 and has not seen the light of day since.
She turned perfectly well before having more use, she served among other things for weddings.
Engine started regularly until 2012.
The last CT is ok since are storage in 2002. See mileage.

The granny requires some renovation work.
Interior cracked leather and a stain on a bench
Engine to restart
Change fluids, joints, hoses.
Etc.

Vehicle extremely rare, its coast is more than 30 000 euros.
It is even rarer in France, since import vehicle.
There are very few copies left.

PS: Photos 1 before storage.
Other photos: Current with 15 years of dust"

Courtesy of Messieurs Google.
I see 'the granny' requires some work again................
No interior pictures so presumably the doors are rusted shut.

For me it seems the car pictured outside in whole is not the car pictured in the garage, as you can see here

The ad says that the car hasn't been run since 2002. They pretend that the engine has been regularly started until 2012.
The French license plate tells us that the car is somewhere in the Alsace region.
The pics on flickr are from some place in the States. Funny note: the Lotus with the tow hitch.
Meaning that the car for sale in France at the one on the pics are not the same car!
I will try to get the chassis number from the seller.

As you can read at the end of the ad, the car should be located in Strasbourg (Alsace).

The seller told me this:
  • car imported to France from GB back in 1988
  • the French Carte Grise has been issued on 07/04/1988
  • same owner in France who is now 82 years old
  • the chassis number is 269. CF
  • first registration in GB: 21/10/1963
