Daimler 15 on ebay 1935/36 ?

This will probably pass anyone interested by, due to a terribly worded title :

On DVLA but states date of first registration May 1989 year of manufacture 1936, needs a man with a deep pocket or a large amount of spare time.

That will make someone a nice car when done.

If I am not mistaken, does that not mean it may have been re-registered in 1989, perhaps it has lost that valuable number?

The number could be ok but potentially non transferable. My 1951 LD10's date of registration is 1996 but still has its original number. Hard to know without seeing the V5 but if Peter found it under the SR number then that's a good start.

The registration plate is older then 1989 so would think it was the original number which would be good if it was, the DVLA have it as "not taxed for on road use" which is common to vehicles that have been off road before 1981 but had their number retained at the time.
Strange that the registration sheet has not been applied for unless he has lost it which means he has to pay, or it would mean one less owner on the sheet.
