I am having trouble attaching photos as mine appear to be too large, anyone know what size the photos have to be?

1024 x 768 and less than 1MB JPG images is ample for website display. The maximum file size is set at 3MB.
Looking at the log of recent images, they vary between 49KB and 1.6MB although one lot are between 100 and 200KB, another lot between 300 and 600 KB and another lot around 1.2MB.
My camera produces jpg images over 3MB which is unnecessarily large for a website and just fills up the database.

I don't know how to reduce the size of the photos to put them on here (I have tried but it is a bit beyond my capabilities i'm afraid), so if anyone is interested I will email photos direct.

Windows computers have "Paint" which you can use to open a photo, edit the size (resize) and save as (with a different filename to avoid overwriting the original).
