Re: Listed on Ebay UK
I thought this car looked familiar (mainly things like red water pipes and red on front badge) and just for interest found that it sold at the South Western Vehicles Auction in October 2017 for £41k plus premium. So does it pay to buy, store away for a while and then sell on at a profit? Personally I seem to buy (only occasionally) and in the main then hold on to and use.
On a similar vein I did see a 1950's Lea Francis woodie that sold at an H&H auction in October 2018 for £14625 including premium, which then appeared on the Car & Classic website at a dealer in November listed for £32950.

Dealers and independent traders and the like still buy at auctions. Last time I was at auction bidding I dropped out when I thought the price was getting too high. The next day the same vehicle was on the web with a private ad for £1500 more than it went for. It then sold within a fortnight.
Colin,
