As of yesterday (jan 11th '19) there is a spoke wheeled manual V8 250 on offer on ebay Uk .. its a tired and rough looking example with already one restoration under its belt, in opalescent blue ( but the boot area looks to be original and show the darker metallic blue) with dark blue leather (seats need re-doing) Apart from the spoke wheels, appears to be a 'base' model ( no overdrive..as became increasingly common post '67 in Jaguar/Daimlers cars after the bean counters took over) .. shame because the overdrive REALLY makes the car.. the overdrive combined with 4.55 diff gives the equivanent of 3.54:1 overall gearing in overdrive..thereby providing far more relaxed cruising speed and extending engine life..

It was there yesterday but it seems to have been removed this morning, asking £8,500 bidding had reached £4,500 reserve not met.

As you say the overdrive does make the car so much better, odd that in the day anyone buying such an expensive car would not opt for overdrive, but then mine has no power steering and the same principle applies I guess.

Hope this car has found a good home.
