I think this car will be difficult to sell to anyone who does their homework - the MoT history does not help, with tight steering being mentioned as long ago as 2011, failure due to chassis corrosion at one point, and it hasn't passed an MoT since 2016, having failed it in 2018. There are decent cars on the road for between £27-32K according to Car and Classic, which makes this expensive even at £20K given the work needed. Would you not be better cutting your losses and selling it as a restoration project?

@marchesmark hopefully anyone who does their homework will study the photos, ask for more, and come and see the car. The only close examples on classic and car at the moment are a 'tatty rolling restoration' at 21k, and an example at 27.5k which would 'benefit from a repaint to take it to the next level', and has lost its original interior and steering (though the replacements are in good taste). So I still think £20-24k is about the right place to start. I'll get an MOT and report back soon - the 2018 failure was because the garage guy could not release the handbrake, did not know how to work it, and broke the mechanism. And please study the chassis pic - you will see no signs of welding or excessive corrosion.

Car now has 12 months MOT, dash has been repaired (new facia panel from Bryan Purves). Is anyone interested in coming to see the car @ £20,000?
