Someone certainly got their moneys worth out of those tyres.
Its a shame the engine has been opened and exposed to corrode, plus all the bits going missing. Why do people do that?
I think its a late 34 or possibly 35/36 as headlamp attachment is to centre of radiator, whereas early ones were at top. So likely its a 2 litre engine not the 1850.

You are so right about the tyres Peter!

It is astounding to reflect someone was actually driving the car on the road to get the tyres into that condition, so no wonder MOT tests were introduced 60 years ago - and which also prompts the question of whether or not it is now such a good idea to exempt cars over a certain age.

However, here is a point in law (which hopefully will start a range war on the Forum). How can you be prosecuted for not having a current MOT Certificate when there is no longer such an entity as the Ministry of Transport to issue it?
