Year 1953
Make Lanchester
Model 14
Mileage 51,442 (Not Warranted)
SOLD FOR £1998

Description:
The Lanchester 14 was manufactured by the Daimler Car Company. It is powered by a 4 cylinder 1968cc engine driven through a 4-speed preselective self-changing gearbox and Fluid Flywheel. This car was sold new to a Mr F.O.Taylor of Shenfield Essex on the 21st April 1953 by Jessops of Romford. According to the original purchase invoice on file, it cost him the then vast sum of £1,047.17.9. By 1962 Mr Taylor had moved to Bournemouth and had the car maintained by Spink of Poole Hill.
In 1965 the car was sold to a Mr Bishop of Bridport who kept the car for 35 years before selling her to a Mr Bell of Glastonbury in 2000. In 2007 the car was exported to Ireland where it has had a further 2 owners. The car is very solid throughout with good paint and mostly original interior. A Broadcast Receiving Licence from 1966 can be found in the interesting history file. This is for the original PYE radio which is in working order as are the semaphore indicators. Along with the aforementioned documents, the substantial history file also contains old invoices, Mots, copy V5 and original handbook. Whilst the car is in good running order a new set of tyres would be prudent along with a minor adjustment of the gear linkage.
The car is currently registered in the Irish Republic. No VAT or duties are due on importation. We will provide NOVA certification and assist with reregistration in UK.
