For sale my 1951 Lanchester LD10. Dry stored since 1991, and kept garaged since I bought it in September 2017.
Powered by a 1300cc OHV 4 cylinder engine driving a Wilson pre-select gearbox gives an interesting driving style that becomes second nature in no time. It can't stall because the fluid flywheel replaces a clutch. No more crashing through the gears either!
This is the youngest example of this model in this country, being one of the last of the last 500 made with the Barker body (steel up to the bulkhead and aluminium from there rearwards.) The body, chassis and paintwork are in very good condition, although there are a couple of small dings in the boot lid. Also I suspect that in the past something has been stored on the roof which has left a blemish there, but not that noticeable.
It's been rewired, so all the electrics work with the exception of the clock. The semaphore signals are fitted with "Flashicator" flashing bulbs to make them show up more. The non-electrical temperature gauge unfortunately is inoperative.
The interior has been given some much needed love and attention. The brown leather seats have just the right patina, and the headlining has been renewed.
The cylinder head has recently been skimmed and a reconditioned water pump has been fitted.
