This BSA 10 HP car from 1934 has had only 6 owners from new. The present owner has, during 6 years of ownership, sensitively restored the leather seats, filling cracks, repairing splits and holes, and finally respraying and resealing the original seats to their original colour condition. In addition a broken screen has been replaced along with a broken rear side window. The car had not run since 1975 and I have replaced the exhaust, repaired the fuel pump, reconditioned the carburettor, completely cleared out the fuel tank and repaired the fuel gauge. The electrics were all cut off when I acquired the car and the rewiring has been done with all the lights, horn, wipers, etc working. The car is running well on its pre-select Daimler gearbox and fluid flywheel with expected oil pressure of 20psi, very advanced engineering for its time, with its original engine and matching numbers. The car is very presentable, being a coachbuilt Mulliner body with sunroof, in very original condition, although not concourse having not been extensively restored.
The car requires a speedo cable and attention to the charging circuit, as well as attention to the offside front wing clearance from the new tyres that have been fitted all round, although that has not prevented the owner from driving the car over 100 miles in the last 12 months. Genuine reason for sale.
