SP250 lower wishbone

Post by Paulkennedy »

What are the size of the bolts that hold the inner ends of the lower wishbones to the chassis.
Thanks
Paul

My reason for asking this simple question is I will have to order new longer bolts. I need to correct the camber angle, I have made up new shims but the bolts on the front lower wishbone are already holding the rack and pinion rack bracket and there is not enough thread left to accommodate the extra shims. My local nut and bolt shop is shut at the present moment and so will have to order online. I cannot have a disabled car blocking my garage while I dismantle the suspension to find the bolt size and then wait until the new bolts arrive. It would be good to pre order so I can have the bolts and complete the work in a day.
Thanks Paul

Hello Paul,

If not tried already, a phone call to Robert Grinter who specialises in SP250's should be able to assist.

Good luck.

Paul

Do you mean the screw that holds the bracket to the chassis?
this is UFS.137/11R which translates as a Unified Fine set screw hex head, 3/8" thread dia. (24TPI) 1 3/8 " long

The bolt through the bracket for the wishbone is UFB 150 / 26R Unified Fine bolt hex head. 1/2" dia, (20TPI) 3 1/4" long
