Instrument Repair

Post by RadfordJim »

I'm sure I've seen info on the old forum but can't get on.
Recommendations for reliable instrument repair/refurbishers please.
Oil pressure gauge works ok but does not return to zero when engine is switched off, sticking at about 25 psi.
Fuel gauge needs a tap to spring into life but flickers up and down whilst driving (could this be sender unit in tank?) and has condensation inside glass after a few miles.
Other gauges working ok but could do with a spruce up.
Any info gratefully received.

I had all my SP instruments overhauled by Adrian Sidwell who did a good job and they all work perfectly (although the fuel gauge still mists up occasionally!)

I've had a set of MG TC instruments restored (including dials reprinted) by Speedograph Richfield who also did a good job - although it took them two go's (I wasn't happy with their first attempt).

Hi Jim

I have just had my speedo repaired by Speedograph Richfield (it failed in St Ives) who previously also recalibrated it for overdrive.

I can recommend them and here is the link. http://www.speedograph-richfield.com/
