I watched an interesting video on You Tube about the comparisons between LED headlamps. Standard 7" items that fit countless cars, especially ours.
Some of the headlamps appeared to be better than others. Outputs are measured in lumens and yet some that claimed high lumen outputs were not as bright as some of those that had lower outputs. The measurement for light was shown as Lux.
One of the better headlamps were made by Trucklite and it was pointed out that some of the generic Chinese items were not DOT approved, the US equivalent of the EU.
I have looked at some of the headlamps available on the internet and they claim all sorts of lumen outputs. Apparently, lux output is the better way to compare LED lamps. I would suppose it's like comparing compressor outputs. The best way is to check for Free Air Delivery which is the actual output.
