Well, I have a proper boot seal rubber on my Dart's boot lid but I still get water in the boot floor.
Does anybody have any ideas as to where it is coming in from??

Doesn't it run in off the boot lid when you open it wet as happens to mine? Ditto the bonnet of course. One of the less clever design features of the Dart.
Cheers

Possibly through the fuel filler body seal

Re: SP 250 boot seal rubber
Hi David,
I have had water entering the boot via the holes where the hinge studs go through holes in the GRP.
Please check that there are good seals under the hinges; they usually come with thin and hard gaskets, which are pretty useless, so replace them with something more compliant, such as cut from tyre inner tube.

A better way is non-setting Silastic sealant at the stud holes

Not always effective on a glassfibre surface...theoldman wrote:Or a Dowty Washer on the underside?
...a rubber washer under the metal one is effective since the thread is sealed by the locknut. (this does however allow water onto the thread before the locknut with the consequent risk of corrosion.)
My personal preference is RTV around the studs before fitting the washer and nut.
