Some suggestions please where to get brake pipes made up. I need to renew a non standard brake pipe between the master cylinder and the servo. One used to be able to go to a Motor Factors and they would make them up, but certainly my local one won't now for insurance reasons. So what does one do, it is not worth buying a kit for flaring the ends just for one pipe.

Almost anything anyone does these days seems to have insurance implications, but my local village garage knocked one up for me while I waited. Any 'traditional' garage should have the pipe and flaring kit since it's a common MoT failure on older cars.

I now usually make up my own replacement brake pipes and have a very simple, primitive, cheap & cheerful flaring tool, which does the job properly if the instructions are followed precisely! I buy lengths of Kunifer pipe from the usual suppliers, and before I obtained the flaring tool I cut and shaped length(s) of pipe, put the appropriate end fittings on and took them to my local garage, the one that does my MoTs, to have the ends flared.
