I can't answer your question accurately, the door cards in my V8 250 were restored by a previous owner who used thick felt. I find that this works well.

Perhaps other forum members can be more helpful.
Best wishes, Dave B

I did this job a couple of years ago and used marine ply. It was quite useless ! I now have two heavily warped pockets and don't know quite what to do with them . Sorry - that's not a lot of help to you, but I shall be interested to see what the real answer is

The material on inside of door pockets is 'Moquette'.. same as is used on lower rear and sides of seats and also used to make the 'fur flex' door finishing seals.. the part that is glues to the door frame to seal the pocket is a vinyl product (probably ICI 'vynide') .. likely same as that also used on other interior trim prices that are not leather.. I generally cut to profile and attach with screws, some of the card material commonly used for door cards to the inside of door frame before glueing the vinyl in place..this makes for a smoother profile of the door pocket and probably reduces exterior noise slightly as well..
