I also make my own.
Having purchased a sheet of 3mm. thick neoprene. You can cut them the same width as the cylinder head land and they are definitely re-usable.
Also the residue from the middle can be used to make other gaskets.

Many thanks Dave and Clive, two very good ideas.
I have since used Nicks idea which I hope to put to the test shortly when other minor projects left over from "winter refit" are complete!
