Problem fitting Mountney steering boss to V8 saloon

Post by pertonjohn »

Hi everyone. I am trying to fit a Mountney steering boss to my V8 250 saloon, but the Mountney horn push is fouling on top of the steering column. I have the correct boss MB 016 and the tapered keys are fitted correctly in the column so the boss locks down correctly. Surely I don't need to shorten the inner column.
Mountney seem unable to help me today.
Has anyone had a similar problem.
Thanks, John
