reply to Nick..seems that much of the SP 250 running gear is triumph based and likely interchangeable.. is the healey 3000 rear axle same width as the SP 250 ? I do know that its a common conversion here in USA..the BMC C series axle has the advantage of strength and easy to change diff and multiple ratios ( although taller gearing than 3.9 is rare..the non overdrive healey 3000 is 3.54 I think) no wheel matching problem if splined hubs are used .. given the wheels were probably made by same supplier.. its not surprising the actual appearance is very similar to big healey... lots of choice for steel wheels if using triumph rims (4 1/2" x 4 bolt) .. but the appearance is not right as the triumph has similar pattern in its cooling holes to the MGA , and TR3 wheels are often used as a substitute on the MGA to give wider track.. the TR6 wheels offer the possibility of a wider rim.
