Hello,
When I purchased my V8-250 it had no jack, I have since obtained one.
I will be very grateful if a fellow owner could put some photos on this thread showing the fitting & placement of the car jack within the boot, please.
Thank you in advance.
Regards.
Richard.

I have some logs to shift, but will take a picture at some point today and post it this evening. I'm guessing that you'll need a picture in situ and one of the fittings.

Re: V8-250 Saloon - car jack positioning
the jack rests up against the vertical panel in the boot behind the rear seat towards r/h side.. it is secured with spring clips that are almost always in place.. Im unable to post images due to too many pixels on my camera for this site to accept.. perhaps someone else will respond with an image..

Hello Richard
Just popped over to the workshop to pick up some bits for avoid christmas project over the next couple of days and took this picture, it is held by one clip along its threaded spindle and the foot sits in a fabricated tray, hope it helps.
Glad you managed to find a jack and hope you did'nt have to pay the usual Flea bay kings ransome for it, there is one there at the moment, or was, for almost two hundred pounds!! I do not have the speed brace to operate mine but use a ring ratchet, well I had to use it once years ago.
Personally I would not use it but always have one of those small trolley jacks in the luggage compartment with an assortment of wood and hard rubber matting in small sizes and use another structural part of the chassis in which I have greater confidence in than my jacking tubes!!

Enough of the waffle here is the picture :

Hello Rob,
Many thanks for your email and an excellent photo showing all I need to know.
I scooped a very decent one for £75 and yes, compared to some prices I have seen that was a bargain - if you can call £75 a bargain !!
The PO is an excellent welder by trade and when restoring the car he replaced all four jacking points - as such I'm happy to use. I agree with your view on classic car jacking points, some really are very much past their best and best avoided !!
Thanks again and wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
Regards.
Richard.

Re: V8-250 Saloon - car jack positioning
Having taken these earlier, I thought I'd add them - better late than never! I've included the detail for the wheel brace stowage just in case - the yellow circles indicate the stowage clips, although I can't use them after having had inertia reel seat belts fitted in the back.
