V8-250 Saloon - Heated Rear Window

Post by classiclife »

Hello,

With regret my saloon does not have a heated rear window although the switch, fuse location are in situ. I will need to install new wiring and a proper relay.

I am considering fitting a retro unit supplied by Holden: https://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct ... de=080.109

Has anybody used this product either in their saloon or perhaps another vehicle ?? One reviwer has slated it, but the points raised are easily overcome and are sensible adjustments.

At the NEC I was tempted to purchase a heated rear window from Pilkington Glass but my understanding is that replacing the window is not for the feint hearted and I think the Holden option may be the easier route.

Any views will be appreciated and / or perhaps alternatives.

Thank you in advance.

Regards.

Richard.
