Distributor for SP250

Post by Zbigmak »

Does anyone have a second hand distributor available. The mechanic rebuilding my engine has damaged/destroyed my distributor. I am looking for a distributor together with a rev counter drive - I do not require a cap or leads or points just the basic body and drive shaft.
Any help greatly appreciated.

if you have the speedo take off drive from your distributor you can move it to a Daimler V8 250 or Rolls Royce 20D8 distributor body. May give you some more options.

You may have a better chance with a saloon distributor. The drive shaft is different but I got one from Barry Thorne. In my case I had the distributor refurbished by the Distrbution Doctor. He is very good but usually takes about 8 weeks. He repairs distributors although I believe he does have some replacements distributors but not one for a V8. There are a list of people in the DM who sell secondhand parts for a saloon.
Regards

If you are unable to procure a distributor I can probably help as I have an old one needing overhaul but is from a SP250.
