I joined the forum yesterday in readiness of the 1968 V8 250 being which I am buying being on my driveway in two weeks. Thank you for the welcome and I look forward to hearing more from you about these lovely cars.
My initials work will be cosmetic and giving it a wee spring clean. I would like to start with cleaning the (a) headlining which is in good condition, no sagging, rips etc. and (b) leather seats (burgundy). So my questions are:
1. how easy a job is each?
2. what are the best products to use?
3. any tips, warnings etc you might have?
4. if you would advise getting a professional to do, any recommendations in Edinburgh or Glasgow or Scottish Borders or Northumberland area
Thanks

I’ve always used autoglym products for cleaning and am happy with them.
Don’t prod and poke the headlining too much.

Certainly for seats, try a look at this site for DIY materials.

Possibly headlining too.

Thanks for these replies. Not sure what it says about me but I am finding 'how to clean' tutorial videos really interesting
