Hi
As any one fitted grab handles to an SP passenger side. If so where did you get them from?
Margaret is having to support herself when I am driving but I do not want to fit seat belts as the are a problem for her.
Photographs of where they are fitted would also be very useful.
Thanks
Kind regards
Colin

Re: Grab handles
Our SP has no seat belts either and my wife suffers the same problem. Interestingly an early development car was fitted with a grab handle by the factory (Brian Long's SP250 book - pages 38/39) but the dash layout was rather different to that of production cars.
The siting of the glovebox really only leaves the crashrail as a mounting option, but this would either need removing or 'hardening' locally as for the mirror mount.
Here's a LHD SP with a grab handle above the glovebox, but with the glovebox latch in the way, it doesn't look particularly convenient..

Re: Grab handles
If I was going to fit one and I'm not, I would fit it to the door, if the passenger has long legs then the dash is probably a touch too far. Make up a strengthening strip in perforated galvanised or stainless steel and glass in above the door card, the grab handle could be nicely done in a good quality leather as in the rear seat of the Majestic/ Major limousines.
