Good morning all, can you help with a question i have regarding starter motor fixings?
I spotted this picture with what looks like a gasket or spacer and bracket?
Does the SP250 need this, as I just have the actual starter motor bolted directly onto the car with the two bolts.
Many thanks.

It would certainly help with that pig of a top bolt access.

Hi
It may be for a high torque starter motor. Margaret's needed a spacer to avoid grinding the flywheel only a thin one.

This is from a V8 saloon, makes assembly a whole lot easier!! Spacer is not usual, probably there to correct an error with pinion mesh (perhaps a non standard starter??).
