V8-250 Saloon: Rear Seat Belts

Post by classiclife »

Hello,

I am looking / contemplating fitting rear seat belts in my V8 saloon. Having looked at some historical posts, I cannot see anything specific to the V8 saloon concerning this unless I have missed it - that said, some other models are mentioned under the thread title.

I guess the following couple of questions will be for those who have done the upgrade or know of it:

Firstly, is it possible to fit the inertia belts or is it better to go static ??

Secondly, does this particular model have pre-drilled securing points ??

Looking at the Securon website I note the model is catered for which is encouraging.

If anyone can add further assistance re the above questions, I will be very grateful.

Thank you in advance.

Regards.

Richard.

Richard
I fitted static belts in the back of my car several years ago. They were supplied by Quickfit Seatbelt Sevices,, and matched the front inertia belts that I fitted at the same time.
I fitted static belts as I knew they would only rarely be used, and the extra cost and work involved was quite considerable.
The fitting points are already in place, on the parcel shelf and under the seat.
Hope that helps.
John
