My 1969 V8 250 is away for restoration and I have finally got to the stage for the respray and sub frame refurbishment.
There was a hug amount of welding done and it has been redipped and had the rustproofing treatment done so now looking for the next stages, although clearly after we have got through the current contagion.
The respray will be the Jaguar Light Blue, invariably some prep work required but looking for a good job at a fair price.
Likewise the subframes need full refurbishment as well as the various suspension components. I have been told as mine is one of the last, the subframe is the same one as the 420. I have also been informed that I am better of getting the original leaf spring refurbished rather than replacing due to the quality of steel used. I am looking at getting them all polybushed too.
Automatic and power steering which may be relevant.

It actually did not look too bad. Few areas of obvious concern but not idea of how much repair work would be required.

Someone may call it a barn find but I would disagree because it was never lost.

Re: V8 250 Restoration Next Steps
Is it me or are other irritated by the term "barn find" these days it just about applies to anything with a bit of dust on it and sort of implies it is worth that bit more because it is dusty and therefore unmolested, but who knows what the car has been through before it was dumped in a shed, barn, garage, tent ? Don't get me started on decade, what's wrong with ten years
By the way nice car, should come up well all be it with a bit of bodywork, enjoy it when the job is done and the plague has gone. Syd

Exactly my thoughts.
Many of those sellers have know exactly where the car has been for whichever specified period of time. So like mine it was never lost.
I think I garaged it in the late 1990s.
