My front bumper seems to have twin spring bars (Item #3) fitted.
Are there two bars welded together to form one piece or was this a post-accident 'enhancement' by a previous owner?
(Over-riders appear to be from an E-Type.)

You are right, the front bumper mounting iron is a steel flat 2½" (63.5mm) x ¼ (6.35mm) and approximately 45" (63.5mm) long. It is bent to align with the cow horns and bumper mounting points and drilled for the mounting bolts. The bumper attaches to it at three points, one in the centre and at both ends. If you have fog and/or spot lights the bumper iron would have been drilled with holes to mount the light brackets.
