Hi Everyone,
I have a '64 Dart which has a non dated registration number plate e.g. three numbers and then three letters. It is possible that this was the original number plate but I thought I would investigate to see if this is the case. Can anyone advise me the best way of finding out if this the original registration number? Dave.

Re: Previous Registration Number
The DVLA should have records of any previous registration numbers going back to computerisation which was from 1977 onwards, if there was a change before that it would have been logged in the old log book and the DVLA should have also recorded that information.
You could try asking there but make sure you only ask for previous registration numbers, not previous keeper details. Registration numbers are not subject to GDPR but previous keeper details are and they will not release that information.

Re: Previous Registration Number
Look no further than Laurence Jones, he is your man, from the chassis number not only will he tell you what the original registration was but the colour the extras that were ordered with the car and some times who was the first owner. https://daimlersp250dartownersclub.com/ Syd

Chris & Syd, Thank you for your replies. Syd, I forgot about Lawrence - I will drop him an email and see what he comes up with. Thanks, Dave.

Ooops - sorry Dave. Yes I've just read it (I don't always check my mailbox when logging in). Reply imminent.
