sp250 trunnion lubrication
Hi ,what is the general opinion when it comes to lubricating the SP brass front trunnions? Grease or Oil? Regards ,Terry .

The W/s manual says grease, personally I use lithium HMP grease, rightly or wrongly and no doubt one of the sage here on will put us right.
The main thing in my mind is that any muck that gets in will quickly wear the surface, I do not spare the grease, a tub of the best grease is so much cheaper than replacing the trunnion and a lot less effort to apply. I give my trunnions a good load of grease every 500 miles, or at least every spring before I put it on the road after the winter break. Syd
