Re: Rent a Daimler SP
Oh dear - if only I'd known about them last year!
I was touring the Côte d'Azur last summer - not sadly in the SP but in my ultra-reliable (ha-ha) Mercedes. We were top-down cruising along the sea-front at Cannes when the car suddenly went into 'limp mode' (with the nicely bronzed scenery on display I wouldn't have though anything could go 'limp'!) After being towed ignominiously to a local garage (who couldn't fix it for several days) we ended up at a main Dealer in Nice who promised to have it done in 'three or four days'.
My breakdown insurance obligingly arranged hire of an efficient but characterless Renault for those few days - but just think what I could have been driving!
