Hi Josh, about the wipers:
1) If either blade can go below the edge of the glass, then the arm needs to be taken off its spindle and put back on one or two splines further around.
2) Where the self-parking stops the wipers is controlled by an adjustable moving contact. If your car still has its original Lucas DR2 or DR3 wiper motor, please look at the gearbox below the motor. On one side you will see a circular dished cover, about 2 1/4" or 58mm in diameter, with a single cable attached. That cable continues to complete the motor circuit after you have flicked the switch, until the sprung contact below it meets a 'dead' place on the rotating contact plate on the gearwheel below that. To adjust the stopping-place, just loosen the 3 or 4 screws that hold the ring that clamps the circular cover so you can rotate it in either direction until you find the right place, then re-tighten the screws.
As you are finding the wipers stop in different places, I suggest dirt or corrosion is preventing good contact on the rotating plate. Perhaps the motor has been stood idle for some time. Remove the screws and take off the round cover so you can see inside and deal with what you find. Good luck!
Please let us know how you get on.

There was a gimbal system holder of the era available so as your whisky/whiskey would not spill during enthusiastic cornering, hard braking and rapid acceleration, one should have only partaken on straights

So do I. Mine is lying on the passenger seat with a loose cable where I plug in my satnav. There's hardly any room under the dash as there's the petrol reserve switch, the heater controls and the washer switch, so where are you going to fit your's?
I've never been too impressed with the auxiliary controls being suspended under the dash on individual bent tin brackets - each one added separately as required. I made up a couple of small supplementary switch panels mounted each side of the heater control to carry (left to right) the reserve fuel switch, screenwash button, fresh air control and the cigar lighter. I think this neatens things up a bit.

By the way, congratulations Josh on a really nice looking restoration. I know from your postings it hasn't been exactly trouble free but the first drive must have made all the anguish worthwhile. Image

Glad you didn't have the same problems as Jay Leno then although they were minor and he also has done a great and interesting restoration.

Here is the link if anyone hasn't seen it.
