1964 Daimler 250 saloon history required

Post by DickSpeedy »

Can anybody help me with the factory and delivery history of my Daimler which I am in the process of rebuilding.
Chassis/Vin No: 1A4465BW
Engine No: 7A4813

It appears to have originally registered in New Jersey as it has that Country registration plate still bolted on.

Many thanks,
Dick

You could try http://www.jaguarheritage.com/heritage-certificate

It was probably registered in the UK before it went over to the US I'd have thought.

The car came to South Africa circa 1965. Does any body know if there are factory records for the Daimler 250?
I presume they would be with Jaguar, as this has to Mk 2 body.

Yes. They are at the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust in Gaydon. The Heritage Certificate (see link here-above) will derive the
information from these records.
