Hi Julian,
All I can say my lever is about 3 inches from the dash board in top gear, there must be a way to swivel around (I have never needed to do this) but of course we don't want to move any linkage adjustment. I am sure more on here can assist on this but no way should selector lever hit the woodwork.

Re: Wilson pre-selected gearbox
Julian,
Following up on John's comment, it looks from your photo like the gear change quadrant may be rotated on the steering column too far in a counter-clockwise direction. I suggest that you examine this. Rotating the quadrant clockwise by a few degress would remove the interference and would also affect the position of the gear change linkages - this might help resolve your gear selection problem (or it might make it worse).

Re: Wilson pre-selected gearbox
You're right guys but everything is working for the moment. I think that this selection lever touches the wooden dashboard since many years now so... But I promise, as soon as the gearbox is faulty again, I will begin to move the selection lever
