Started stripping the 54 conquest today. Found this inside the car. Any ideas ?

It looks "sided" so perhaps one of a pair? I assume it's metal?

I believe it fits inside the front wing as a splash guard. There should be a rubber strip between the wing and this piece.

It is as Chris said a rear footrest.
There should be a pair and they fit under the front seats under the carpet and underlay

Ahh.
That would answer why I found it in the back of the car behind the front seat. Will check if there is another one there..
If not doesnt look too difficult to make another.
