Does the oil need to be "EP"90 or will any 90 grade do?

This is for the self (automatic) lubrication system, right??

My theory is to use the thickest stuff that will flow, so as to minimize the amount of oil used. So I use a motor oil additive called STP, or the equivalent "Motor Honey". Yes it's about as thick and sticky as honey.

Thanks all. I will use the cheaper standard 90 grade and keep the more pricey EP for the diff.

An alarm bell rang when you put EP for the diff. I don't know Conquests but I do know the older models use straight 90. Perhaps someone who knows c Conquests could clarify.

Nick.

I believe the Conquest is ok with EP unlike some of the earlier Daimler difs.

Yes, Andy, you need EP for the Conquest as it has a "modern" axle. 80 or 90 will do fine.
