DB17 Wire Wheels

Post by Fuzz Townshend »

Hello all.

I'd like to learn whether wire wheels can be fitted to DB17s and if so, is there a correct specification and hub adapters?

Cheers,

Fuzzer

Hello Fuzz, 17" wire wheels were fitted with a 4 bolt fixing. I know Graham Butler has a set of 18" wheels which also fit.

If that's the case you would need adapters from five stud to four as the DB17 was originally supplied with five stud 16"X6" pressed steel wheels.

Marcel would 18" fit as seem they would be too big as 16" pressed steel were the originals?

From the information given to me some were fitted on 4 stud wires. I'm told 5 stud wires in that size are hard to get hold of.
