1931 Daimler Double Six 50

Post by carpenterpete1 »

Would any body have any information on the type, make and size of wheel splines used on this car. I have acquired the original wire wheels from the 50 and would like to use then.
Many thanks.

My understanding is that Daimlers of that period had a common but unique method of wheel fitting which employed a centre-lock mechanism which required a special spanner (actually a BSA invention).

There is one of these spanners for sale at the moment on Ebay:

If you do not have a handbook for your car I can provide you with common pictures of the wheel fixing - or give me a ring on 01785 713862.

Regards,

Stan.
